Recent years have seen a resurgence of interest in the simple elegance of hand stitched leather work. Mastery with needle and thread is the most fundamental skill in the leather arts. This workshop, taught by Gordon Andrus, will cover basic hand stitching, including double needle harness stitching, casting a hitch in the stitch, and tying off with a hidden knot.

Materials to Bring: Harness needles, diamond and curved awls with handles. If you have them, bring a stitch groover, pricking and/or overstitch wheels, pricking irons, straight round awls, and hand/finger protectors. Tools will be provided where needed.
