How to: Pendleton wool Rug


This class is for anyone who would like to make something that is NOT leather related, but incorporates iconic Pendleton Wool from the mill in town. Julie Pierce will lead the class to select selvedge scraps (about $2/lb) for students rugs and in the simple process to create an area rug. Students can expect a FUN workshop with Julie and to create a finished rug in about 4 hours. No tools required!

In the photos the blanket is called Silver Bark, and the accompanying rug is make from the selvage edges that come off the loom at the mill.

SATURDAY: Nov 3, 12pm to 5pm

Class will begin at the Pendleton Woolen Mill to purchase wool for the rug. Students will purchase the material of their choice; about $20 per rug, in addition to the class fee.
